ABOUT

AMA Dance Academy aims to provide high quality choreography to schools that crosses over with their curriculum subjects. We are able to offer a huge range of styles and genres and always adapt our dances to fit the needs of the children we are teaching. Our classes are primary based and we are always looking to expand our sessions and provide to more schools in Essex. Along with our curriculum sessions we offer after school clubs, breakfast clubs and lunch time clubs within schools. Contact us to book in a FREE dance session for your school!

AMA not only provides high end curriculum based sessions but we also run evening sessions for those that enjoy dance and wish to improve their skills. We run cheerleading and dance sessions in various places for all primary year groups.

AMA Dance Academy not only teaches children. We run also run regular Adults dance fit sessions. Dance fit is a great form of exercise and is for all body shapes and abilities. These sessions aim to make you feel like you're having a dance party with lots of likeminded individuals whilst targetting all the muscle groups to help improve fitness and lose weight simultaneously!

FOUNDER OF AMA DANCE ACADEMY

AMY ATTREE

AMA Dance Academy originated in 2016 after I gave up work and decided to travel the world, on my return to England I had no job but lots of ambition. I decided to start AMA Dance Academy and haven't looked back since! I have danced my entire life and always loved working with children so it only seemed natural to start my own dance school. I adore inspiring the children every day and there is nothing better than seeing their faces light up when they finally achieve a move they have been working on for a long time!

FEEDBACK

“Amy has been into Holland Park and worked with several different year groups from reception to upper KS2. She always provides engaging, enjoyable sessions which both motivate and enthuse students and staff alike. All curricular sessions are linked to the relevant schemes of work for particular year groups and she will adapt lessons to suit your demands! She has always maintained high standards of discipline and professionalism throughout our time with us and we would highly recommend her.”

Sarah Hughes

PE Co-ordinator at Holland Park Primary

“Amy has been an instrumental part of developing our school PE curriculum. The children love taking part in her dance sessions and she has been an active part of our community, supporting the pupils with performances at our local fete and car show. Our pupils (and staff) particularly love our lunchtime dance parties!”

Jo Morgan

Head Teacher at Gosfield Primary School

“Having observed both dance lessons and holiday camp sessions with AMA Dance Academy, it’s clear to see how engaged and enthusiastic the children are to learn something new and have fun whilst doing it! The sessions are always diverse and motivating, but also provide a level of challenge for those children who want to improve their skills.”

Rachael Lock

Amy delivers good quality dance lessons, fitting in with any theme we have given her.  The lessons show good progression and Amy is happy to provide lesson plans in order to upskill teachers too.  Most importantly, the children love the lessons and behave well for Amy!
